Accounting and reports

Books that post themselves: P&L, balance sheet and the VAT return

Every invoice, payment, purchase, stock movement, expense and asset lands in a double-entry ledger by itself, and the profit and loss, balance sheet, VAT return and bank reconciliation are read from it.

Sixteen document types post automatically · Debits equal credits at database level · Per branch, with a chain view above

Why a garage needs it

Learn whether you made money today, not three months later

Most garages hand a shoebox of invoices to an external accountant every quarter and learn whether they made money three months late. By then the margin on a bad month is already spent.

UltraGMS posts each document to the ledger the moment it happens, so the owner sees this month's profit today, the VAT return is a report rather than a project, and the accountant reconciles instead of re-keying. The dashboard puts the same numbers on a phone every morning: cars in, who is behind, revenue against target, and what is waiting for a signature.

FAQ

Questions garages ask about the books

Do I still need an accountant?

You need someone to review and file, not to re-key. The ledger, trial balance, VAT return and bank reconciliation are ready for them; the shoebox is gone.

Is the VAT return in the UAE format?

It shows output VAT, input VAT and net payable for any period under UAE rules, with the detail rows behind each figure, ready to be entered on the FTA portal.

Can I see the profit per branch?

Yes. Every transaction is garage-scoped, so the P&L and the reports can be read per branch, and a chain comparison sits above them.

Does it reconcile with my bank?

Month by month you tick system transactions off against the bank statement; unattributed items and the remaining difference are shown. Reconciliation never moves a balance.

What if I started on another system?

Opening invoices, opening supplier balances, opening stock and opening account balances can all be recorded at go-live so the ledger starts correct.
